Start and end at the excellent Maltsters Arms, Tuckenhay, or we can start and end at various other places around the estuary by arrangememt.

Karima was the second of our locally-built 9 metre, 12-seater 'Longbow' canoes. She not only increased our capacity; she allowed us to take big groups in equal sized canoes so that when things got a bit competitive, as they sometimes can, everyone could be assured that all things were equal in terms of the size and performance of the boat. So no excuses there. She also added a new level of style to the fleet in her stylish red and yellow.
To start 1000-1200. Back ashore 1000-1100 approx. the following day. Adult £120, Child £75, Minimum charge £740.
Option to make it a shorter adventure: To start 1600-1730 and return 1100 approx. the following day. Adult £85, Child £55 Minimum charge for small groups is £570

Devon's best two pubs by canoe! We meet at the excellent Maltsters Arms, Tuckenhay. We paddle to the Ferry Boat Inn (FBI), Dittisham, where you have the option for dinner. There is plenty of room on the shore if you want to bring your own picnic and just use the pub for drinks.
On the way back from the pub, we stop on the shore, build a fire and have a brew as the sun goes down. Then we paddle home under the stars.
'By-the-Seat' adventures are for Individuals and Small Groups of Friends or Families to join. We'll group you together to make up a crew of 7 to 12.
We start and finish beside the excellent Maltsters Arms Pub at Tuckenhay (TQ9 7EQ), lying halfway between Totnes and Dartmouth. Sometime we start from Stoke Gabriel, which is on the other side of the estuary, between Totnes and Paignton. Parking is nearby. Times vary daily according to the tide. Booking is essential.
