Suitable for:Book seats on our scheduled trips. All Ages welcome (Please note late finish)

You’ll find some of Devon’s finest pubs on the shores of the River Dart estuary.   What better way to visit them than in a giant canoe, taking in all the amazing scenery along the way?

We normally set out in the early evening/late afternoon, paddling to the pub for dinner.  On the way back from the pub, we stop on the shore, build a fire and have a brew as the sun goes down. Then we paddle home under the stars.   Magical.

Join a scheduled trip which you can book 'by-the-seat'.  Up and coming trips will be scheduled below.   Or book your own private adventure for groups of six or more.

Please note child and family tickets are not valid on our late evening adventures.

Regular Option - Maltsters Arms to Ferry Boat Inn and back (Departure Point: Tuckenhay)

Devon's best two pubs by canoe!  We meet at the excellent Maltsters Arms, Tuckenhay.  We paddle to the Ferry Boat Inn (FBI), Dittisham, where you have the option for dinner.  There is plenty of room on the shore if you want to bring your own picnic and just use the pub for drinks.

On the way back from the pub, we stop on the shore, build a fire and have a brew as the sun goes down. Then we paddle home under the stars.

Easier Option (and slightly finer dining) - Rivershack to Maltsters Arms and back (Departure Point: Stoke Gabriel)

For private groups looking for a slightly easier option (with slightly finer dining), ask for our Stoke Gabriel departures. Here you can get started at the licensed River Shack, before meeting your canoe in Stoke Mill Creek and paddling to the excellent Maltsters Arms, Tuckenhay for dinner (fish is their thing, but not exclusively). Usually (but not always!), we have the westerly breeze to help us home.

On the way back from the pub, we stop on the shore, build a fire and have a brew as the sun goes down. Then we paddle home under the stars.

Family tickets not eligible on these adventures - sorry.   This is a longer, later trip than our usuals. Young ones are welcome so long as they can handle the late hours. We often need all paddlers on deck for the final leg home.
